I have 3 of these shocks that I bought from a local guy. He said they were for the 88-96 C4's. I really only bought them, because they came with all the hardware, and front swaybar, from ridetech. Very cheap. Never installed.
I have recently lowered the rear of my 96 using the vansteel 10inch bolts. I want more low, now. But, my car being base fe1 suspension, I know you don't want to go too low. Due to suspension travel. Just wondering if I should go qa1 all around or go a different route.
That's a QA1 shock, which isn't from Ridetech (they have their own brand of shock based on Fox internals). To my knowledge, Van Steel is the main seller of C4 coilovers using QA1 dampers. These have at least a one-way adjustment for damping rate. Go to their site and see if you can match up the parts to see exactly which ones you have. Looks like the package you bought came from Van Steel, and the seller had added just the Ridetech sway bar. Nice score!
I can't tell if those qa1 coilovers are front or rear, for the car. Yes, single adjustable.
You may have to match part numbers. There should be some hardware accompanying them, as seen in the pic on Vansteel's page. If you don't have those parts, you'll have to see if VS will sell them to you.
