C4 Corvette transmission cross compatibility?

Hello! I recently purchased a 1984 auto corvette with a faulty transmission. It has already been rebuilt by the previous owner’s mechanic, and the person rebuilding it said that the transmission was not looking good. It failed again and that’s when I bought it. I found a nice used transmission with low miles, but it’s from a 1987 auto corvette. Is there any way to make the 1987 transmission work with my 1984? The 1987 comes with the torque converter, so I’m not worried about the 30 spline. Are there any other issues?

You should have no issues BUT might you want to do maybe some service before you actually install and then have to do another removal? You know for a fact that it's an '87 and Corvette?

What’s wrong with 1987 corvette transmissions? The used one has 44k miles which I think to be low, and it comes with a 90 day warranty
