Default Engine to frame ground wire help

Hey guys I have a 1988 c4 corvette with a bad braided ground wire. (Dropped when I bought the car) I’m not sure what ground number this is but I know it’s the engine to frame ground. Could someone please tell me where this grounding goes and connects to so that way when my replacement comes in I can replace it with confidence knowing I put it into the right bolt! It is on the left hand side near the battery.

I spy a bolt head that would work just fine for that ground. It is too small for the one that is mounted to the engine block so I would just pull that 10mm out and throw it there.

Edit: Where ever you put it, scuff the area where it will contact (both under the bolt itself and the ground wire.

Follow the smaller gage wire from the negative terminal on the battery to where it's attached to the frame rail beneath/in the vicinity of battery tray. If you have the FSM check 8A-201-B for diagram. If you don't have the FSM mention that and I'll post the image. I can help you with a correct FSM if you don't have.

Thank you guys so much for the help. I plan or replacing it due to the corrosion and tearing on the metal . I really thought it was the motor frame one. I am brand new to cars so I do apologize for my confusion. I will make sure to get the proper ground replacement and connect it to the right area. Thank you guys so much again!

Okay so I got my replacement in. I attached it to the support beam here on the drivers side next to the headers. I don’t have any manual for the car but will this be good enough?

That'll work just fine, IMO.
