Default Automatic shifter issue
Greetings,
when I try and pull the shifter in to 1st gear it won’t downshift without slapping the stick rearward. I assume the shift cable or the shifter itself needs adjustment. Where is the usual adjustment made to make it work properly? The indicator shows 1st but I have to force it to make it shift. Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Shift boot not allowing full travel? Has been an issue on these cars.
