Default Battery issues....

Alright I'm confused at this point. My battery was about 5 years old and was about due for a replacement. My first replacement Costco Interstate battery would power everything up, but the moment you tried to crank you would hear the starter click and then everything goes dead and stay dead. I replaced that battery with a second one, gave it a full charge, and does the exact same thing. If I put the old battery back in the car would start right up. Third battery worked for about two weeks, and now does it too. Unfortunately, I don't have the old battery anymore. Could it be the starter and why would an older weaker battery still work?

Very common problem, here's your fix are the terminals clean free of corrosion. If so are they tight. When it happens clean or dirty grab your cable and tug at the terminals in the direction to tighten you will hear a spark click power will be restored

Went back with a metal brush and really gave it a good cleaning and some electric cleaner spray, turns out that was the problem. I had cleaned them earlier but not apparently good enough. Thank You.
