Default L98 Headers & Mandrel Exhuast

Just updating ya'll about my 89 L98 exhuast project. I put on some Hedman headers #68440 the other week.....GREAT! I got some 2.5" reducers VS the 2.25" ones the headers came with. I am almost done making my own mandrel bent exhuast. I have a welder...so.. I bought a O2 bung, drilled the Drivers header itself in the collector and welded that bad boy in...and using 45degree mandrel bends welded up a very, i mean very nice nice exhuast. The exhuast is almost tucked so i have great ground clearance and i have NO 90Degree bends. I used all 45's. 8- 45 degree bends at $20each though!!!! and 10Ft of Almized steel 2.5" exhuat pipe and at the end some 40Series FLOWmaster mufflers and some 3" chrome tips. all i can say is factory manifolds can Suck my Dizick. I also made my own H pipe. If i took this to an exhuast shop to just have an exhuast put on from the headers back would be $600+. all i can say is i love NAPA for carrying Mandrel bends!!!! I'll have pics soon.

Yes, please show some pics. Can you feel any loss in torque?I didn't even know NAPA had those mandrel bends.

I don't think all NAPA's have them. I live in tampa and the one down the street is the Hub or warehouse one....MASSIVE. It's like a ToysRus for motorheads. Not even the performance shops carried the bends in stock....but napa did. I'll have pics soon. Can't tell ya if i lost torque...have'nt really driven it yet, and i need to do some tuning...and re burn the PROM. then i'll hit the dyno and see what we lost/gained. i expect a 35RWHP gain, and same torque. b/c the TPI motor gets it's torque from the runners....not the exhuast. i'll probly see 320RWHP/400Ft/lbs. i'll get pics and the pics of the dyno things up here soon... Q-How do we post pics on here????
