Replacing key with push button ignition in C4
OK I have some questions, In my C4 i was having issues starting car because i had to wiggle key and turn steering to get my key to turn. Well now it will not turn at all and since the column is also loose and wiggles, I'm going to pull it and fix those issues. Can I remove the key start, or will i need it and a resistance key to allow the push button start to work? This is a dedicated track car i endurance race so im not really worried about not needing a key to start. I was hoping to eliminate the key but my back up plan is to have the key under the dash and always on. using the kill switch to stop the car and the push button to start it. Has anyone done this and will I need the ignition switch and key still? ALso is there anyone who can tell me how tro get it to start with the current issue so i can move the car eaisier?
