Default PBR Master Cylinder

Has anyone found a rebuild/repair kit for a stock PBR Master Cylinder. My off brand master cylinder brings in the brake light from the proportioning valve. I've bench bled the MC and bled the brakes. Nearly ran a gallon of fluid though. Very frustrated and ready to just disconnect the switch!!!

I’ve found a NOS PBR master in the past, they are nice. The pressure switch is more likely the cause from my experience, they are fragile.

If the brake light is going on, then that means there's a problem in the brake system. Assuming you don't have leaks, probably a bad master cylinder. So, disconnecting the switch will just leave the problem in place. Since this is brakes, I'd replace the master cylinder to be safe. I don't think they make rebuild kits anymore. Might as well get a new master cylinder that has a lifetime warranty.

I did rebuild my front calipers a while back when I replaced the brake hoses. But they don't sell a full rebuild kit for the rear calipers, only a partial kit. So I ended up deciding to replace the rear calipers while I was replacing the brake hoses since the calipers were original. I would have rebuilt the rears if they still sold proper rebuild kits as they are a good candidate for a rebuild as they are original and don't leak.

That switch is sort of a pos, play with it till you figure out how it works and then look in the master cylinder and see if it's actually being triggered or not. If your brakes work the odds are higher it's the switch than the master.
If the brakes don't work that's another story.
I was able to take mine apart and clean it up. Pretty fragile though.

Not trying to hijack the thread but what about the rear caliper kits is not enough to do a rebuild? I was planning to use a rebuild kit on my 96 rears this winter just as preventative maintenance. Rock Auto carries them super cheap.

They don't come with all new metal pieces.
