Default H44 Code

I have had this code H44 (lean left bank) on my 1993 for the last 4 years and have been trying to rectify as you can see from my previous threads. So I did a half *** smoke test with a hand pump and a cigar and it appeared smoke was coming out of the throttle body where the accelerator cable is wrapped around. So I removed throttle body and took it apart and thoroughly cleaned it (probably the first time in 32 years) but did not take apart the area where the smoke was coming out looked to technical. I placed everything back on the vehicle and the vehicle ran fine as it did before cleaning the throttle body. Upon test drive the SES light came on although still running fine and upon getting on the highway it goes off then comes back on. It always goes on upon idle at a red light. Upon checking to see if the H44 code was still present after all I did and test drove with the SES light coming on there were no codes in all banks of the computer. I find this very strange and wondering if I could have had a computer problem this whole time.
