Default IAT Guidance - 86' C4

The IAT sensor harness and the IAT connector to the ECU wire colors are exactly opposite when plugged in. See illustration attached.

The plug to the sensor is a different size than the plug to the ECU harness.
The sensor and its plug are polarized - installing in only one orientation.
The sensor harness plug and the ECU harness are also polarized and only plug in one orientation.

This is either right and I'm over thinking it..... I have an incorrect sensor (ACDelco 213-928) that the polarization is 180degrees out of phase

I didn't have much of a harness to work with when I bought the car, it had been badly hacked up - and I'm lost in the FSM trying to settle on a direction.

do you have that plug ? The thermistor doesn’t matter on polarity.

My connector ends look just like those in the attachment you shared. Sounds like I'm solid here and put a check in that box. Thanks @Tunedport90
