Default Pressure Plate Marking/Balance/Orientation

Everyone - I have a 45k mile 1995 Corvette LT1 with a manual transmission. I believe the engine, transmission, flywheel, and clutch to be original. It runs very smooth with no vibration. The problem is the clutch started slipping which I believe is due to a leaky slave cylinder that resulted in clutch fluid getting on the clutch disk. I am in the middle of repairing this and I want to use an OEM type clutch disc and pressure plate to avoid some issues/problems that I believe are inherent to SMF conversions. I believe the original dual mass flywheel is still ok to use. I was planning to buy a LUK clutch kit but I believe OEM kits are also still available from Valeo. My question is regarding the positioning and balancing needed (if any) of the new pressure plate. Unfortunately I did NOT mark the position of the old pressure plate on the flywheel before I removed it. The original Valeo pressure plate has a large yellow paint mark at one of the bolt holes. The FSM states that it is important to reinstall the pressure plate in the same position on the flywheel. However, since I am not reinstalling the old pressure plate, I am trying to figure out how to install a new one as it looks like the new Valeo pressure plates currently available have a similar yellow paint mark on them. Shouldn't the pressure plate be neutral balanced? I realize the dual mass flywheel is balanced to whatever spec was needed by GM, but the indication in the FSM about marking and reinstalling the pressure plate in the same orientation seems to indicate that the flywheel and pressure plate may have been balanced together? Can someone please help me know the correct procedure to avoid balance problems/vibration when I am done? Someone at well known LUK dealer told me that the new OEM pressure plates available today aren't balanced and it does not matter how they are installed. My machinist suggested to check the flywheel only balance and then check the flywheel/pressure plate together to make sure they are balanced the same as the flywheel alone. Is this the correct way to do this? I assume that if I had marked the position of the old pressure plate, I would install the new one (if marked) in the same way. I realize this issue has been addressed multiple times, but I have read previous posts and am still confused about positioning a new pressure plate on an old dual mass flywheel. Any help or clarification is appreciated. Thanks.
