Oil Change light on???
Did a search and found nothing on this subject....
My light came on today, and its staying on, but according to my mileage I only have 1500 since the last change. Is this normal??? or do I have probs.
also is it per norm to change every 2000 miles or 3000 miles?

I didnt have the Car last oil change, but the light wasnt on yesterday, or earlier today.
The sticker in the window says to change it @ 73,358 , and im @ 71,233
Maybe the filter has a stoppage???

I think that light monitors mileage only. Probably wasn't reset at the last oil change. I don't think it monitors pressure differential or oil performance.
Do you have a manual on how to reset the light ????

turn key on - do not start engine
press the ENG/MET button then within 5 seconds press the ENG/MET button again.
Within 5 seconds press and hold the GAUGES button (1992 through 1996)
The change oil light should flash. Hold the GAUGES button until the light stops flashing and goes out.
If you make a mistake, turn the ignition off and start over.

Worked like a champ, I feel stupid but light is off :banghead:
In my denfense though this is my first Vette and only have had it for 3 weeks :D
