Default 1990 to 94 transmission issues

I’ve got a 1994 Corvette that I got with no transmission. I took a transmission from a 1990 Corvette and I’m having issues.
What is the best way to adapt electrical connections for the 94 Corvette to the 90 transmission

One of your main problems is the 1994 4L60-E transmissions shift points are controlled by the ECM, while the 1990 700R4 transmissions shift points are controlled by the TV cable. I'll let the experts chime in on other issues and if there are any workarounds.

I sure don't know your financial situation, but it might end up cheaper to buy a 4L60E. I have no idea if Monster Transmission is any good but you can get a rebuilt 4L60E for $2,200.00. Then you can sell the one you have. I have to believe the resale value would increase. Dan edit: I see Monster does not have a 1994, but somebody does.

You'd be better off using the correct trans but if you're hell hent on using the '90, I think it's possible but the PCM is not going to be happy looking for the E trans. In truck PCMs that I've used 700r4, I had to turn off ~27 parameters to make the PCM ignore transmission controls the E trans is looking for. One other thing, your throttle body won't have a pin on the throttle lever for the TV cable. I believe you can get one with that pin on the '92-'93 LT1s or I seem to recall an aftermarket piece that can be added. Cheers!

I still waste my time replying to posters with one post. I have found maybe one in ten actually read and get back to their posts. Dan

I always wonder why you insist on doing that. Most of these types Google their problem and a Corvetteforum thread shows up in regards to their concern. Then they form a profile - no name, no location, no details, no introduction - nothing and ask a question. Then disappear.

When I see a thread such as this, I say to myself "fk 'em". If they can't spend the effort to join in, then I have zero effort to help them.
