95 lt1 has a vortech supercharger and t rex fuel pump, adjustable aeromotive regulator. Problem is, I start it cold and it fires right up with the bump of the key, drive it, rock steady pressure on the electronic guage at 40 psi. Air fuel ratio guage is between 14.7 to 15 .1 and runs great. Now I drive it for 20 minutes, shut it off, come back ten minutes later it cranks but doesn't want to start. Turn key off, then on, it starts right up. I noticed both pumps used to run for 2 seconds after shutting off the car but now run for up to 10 seconds. The tank used to hold pressure when taking off gas cap now there is none. If I start the car and shut it off the electric guage holds at 40 but turn the ign on and it drops to 0 quick until you crank it, then right back to 40. I'm going to change out the stock pump but need some more advice on what else to check. I don't understand why the pump is running after the key is off. I was told it could be the pump relay, the ignition lock and switch, the chip in the key or lock. I took the t rex pump out of the system to see if that was it, car runs fine, it's just needed for extra fuel under boost conditions but it also runs all the time the stock fuel pump is running. How to eliminate the fuel pump in tank or relay as the culprit? I'm hoping to see if there's a way to hook up a mechanical fuel pressure tester, I'll include some pics, my shrader valve is taken by the electric sender for the gauge. I'll see if I can find a fitting to go between the lines. Any ideas on which route to go. I don't know how old the stock pump is but I've had the car for 7 years and I'm hoping it's just a check valve failing in the pump. Any ideas would be great.
