Exhaust - remove cats / drone ?
Hello !
I have a 91" vette with muffler delete (LT1 tips).
One of my cats is defective so I would need some advices please. If I remove both cats and replace with pipes (cheaper solution) as I already have no muffler, will I get a terrible truck sound and lots of drone ?
Some people say you have drone unless you have mufflers, some people say you have drone unless you have X pipe. I'm a little bit lost.

Hello !
Not sure what is the resonator, but I believe it's fully stock except the muffler delete.
So, there are 3 cats : 2 pre-cats and 1 at the center (which you may call resonator I believe, L98 engine). I would need to replace the 2 pre-cats by pipes only and let the bigger one in place.
