My 94 Corvette runs great for about 40 minutes then starts misfiring badly almost like limp mode , turns over for long time before it will restart, let sit for few hours will start right up and run great for approximately 40 min then acts up again,have replaced fuel pump,coil, ignition module and distributor assembly which was a cheapo ,any suggestions would be great

You hit pretty much all normal problems, so here's some other possible, something is heat soaking.
When it acts does it seem to be running but just Gutless (Catalytic converter) or heat soaking fuel rail or Vapor lock in the tank.
