I removed some emissions parts today and now have a quad driver fail which I thought that I might have a fail but I didnt think a whole quad driver would fail. While I was watching the computer I noticed a driver 1 fail with a code and a driver 2 intermittent fail with no code it only failed at idle not at cruising speed. Is there a problem with the ECM as far as driver 2? Would anyone being willing to trade a chip that will remove the emissions stuff for some cash?
Not sure what you are asking,.....
Then talking about the Quad Driver, usually people are talking about a part inside the ECM. This is the electronic switch that turns on a relay (typically).
Sorry I am use to airplane electronics and our things we call quad drivers in the computers usually control more than one thing which probably isnt the same thing but the same name. I think if I just get a chip that will turn off the egr stuff i will be set
To effectivelydisable EGR, I believe you also need to set minimum EGR enable temp w/r to MAT to the highest possible number - 1. Just covering up the flag still allows the engine to think the EGR is hooked up...and will still use whatever logic it uses when EGR is supposed to be functioning. Good luck, -Matt
