1984 auto here, ive heard some things about buying a ecu/ecm out of a chevy truck? Can't remember the number but what is the best way to replace a ecu in an 84? Like thats avaliable atm
A 7747 would work though you'd need to replace the connector on the car to be compatible. 7730 also probably would... really any tbi ecm would work with the right pinning and coding... the ebl/ham board combo is nice but currently unavailable. A more modern ecm would also work. TBI isn't very picky.

thanks for the reply! Are there any threads that explain how to do this in more detail? Im new to ecm stuff and I need a new one for my 84 as its running funny and I plan on doing some mods that would require changing some things anyways.
