Default Front Upper Ball Joint - Moog K6346

Is anyone running these? If so, can you take a picture share how they're supposed to be installed with the boot? The directions directly from Moog conflict with the build. Im specifically having issues with the boot fitting into the control arm when the boot is installed properly. First time doing ball joints, so i'm sure i'm messing something up.

@ramahon I just installed Moog's a couple months ago. Note that the boots have a rectangular notch in them which, if i remember correctly, faces inward and is marked on each boot. The boots require a little massaging to fit them in position, but once in place they're secure. And, if I recall correctly, that metal plate positions against the boot after boot's installed and plate has to be squeezed on around the boot. At least this is how my 74 years old brain remember what i seem to recall what i did...

Thanks for the reply @steven swan. I’ll mess around with it more and see if I can get the boot to squeeze. I also wasn’t aware the rectangular notch had to be orientated in a particular way.

is the metal plate on the top or bottom of the control arm?

if you have the chance to snap a picture that would be very much appreciated!

This reminds me about needing to do at least the bottom balljoints due to play when moving the wheel by hand like checking for bad hubs.
