What are the differences in fuel tank modules?
While trying to find anybody who sells a decent fuel pump for my (highly modified) '84, I see on the well known online auction site a few different (pump and float assembly) modules for different years of C4s. What might be the differences over the years, other than probably the pump capacity? What's the range of interchangeability with these modules?
If you have a sender tree that does correct fuel level, I believe you just use the electrical connectors at sender mounting flange and the submersed pump connector and use what you have. There are WeatherPack repair connectors for the top and nearly all pumps can be accommodated on most pump trees. In tank socks and pickups are out there. If you don't have one, I'd probably try to acquire something local OE/GM to use and fabricate. ALL OE/GM should be tagged for ID.
