Default Super Ram true up

Last year I was battling vacuum leaks. Since I was rebuilding the Engine and had the manifold off I thought I would see how straight it was. It took close to 1/16 inch to make it flat no wonder I was having annoying sucking sounds .

Sheesh, that's a lot. I've heard the Super Rams were notorious for that kind of thing.

It was one of the things that steered me toward the Miniram.

I had to do the same thing to one of my Super Rams a couple years ago. Needed to true up the surfaces on the runners and the plenum box. I got everything nice and straight but it took time.

[img alt="I see we use the same Heads and Rockers. Using the short Poly Locks I needed to clearance the Rockers a bit to clear the Hex in the Lock. Didn't take much I didn't do it the first season they clearance them selves. But now that I knew about it I figured I better do something.

Good to know. I'll keep an eye on it. I noticed that the hex on my polylocks is close to the rocker but it does clear. I'm running a Summit Stage 4 cam with about 0.590 lift using 1.6 rockers.

You can use shorter Set Screws for a little more clearance depending on how you adjustment comes out. The C4 Magnesium Covers are somewhat thick and can have a little material removed, that is except for the 7-8 Cylinders it looks thin back there.
