I have a question for all those who have replaced or removed the ECU on a C4. What did you do about the security input for the CCM? I rewired the fuel enable relay but would like to stop the dash from flashing at me as I drive.
Depending on the year, you rip it all out and go aftermarket from the engine to the dash.
It's like HGTV. Step one is complete demolition, then you rebuild it the way you want.
I'm responding as I see that there haven't been many answers for what you were asking. I cant's answer your question directly because althought I have installed a Holley EFI and then later rewired 90% car, my 1986 did not have a BCM... so I didn't need to sort through any of those details. Assuming you are looking to keep the security system in tact... If you have a FSM section 8 has all of the details you need, I don't think you would need the wiring diagram even, but I haven't done the deed. If you don't have an FSM, look for the binder version as it's easier to manage and it's in color.
