I am about to attempt to fix my driver's side on my 85. Intermittent issue - will not go up, but will travel down with no problem. I dont think it is the gears because the motor does not spin when energized. Volt meter to power pins at connector shows 12vdc as it should -so no relay issue. It is likely the contacts on the inside or other continuity related items that need cleaning.
