R4 AC compressor moaning/vibration
I google'd around a bit and this seems to be a not un-common issue. Vibration that sounds rather like a low tone horn from 12-1800rpm or so.
AC works well. It's an 86. Bracket is good, rear compressor brace in place. No other issues apparent. From what I gather reading replacing the compressor
may or may not fix the issue. I'm disinclined to mess with a good cooling system unless I'm sure of a fix.
Considered converting to an R4 sized scroll compressor, had good luck with one on an LS swap in a chevy truck a few years ago.
Anything I'm missing?
