C4 Fuel Gauge Always Reads Full
My C4 has the age old problem of having the fuel level always reading full. I pulled the tank assembly and confirmed that the existing rheostat contacts were junk. Replaced the entire unit (including fuel pump) verified that I had a reasonable ohm reading coming out of the tank and plugged it back in. Still had a full reading even though the actual level was around 1/4. Unplugged the connector and shorted the sender wire to ground expecting a "empty" reading on the gauge. No change, so the issue is somewhere between the tank and the cluster, or in the cluster itself. Any suggestions on where to look since the sending unit is now functional?
