There's an auction on ebay for a Hayes flywheel. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...category=33730
I don't think it's the right one, and checked the "spec's" on the PN, but they weren't clear enough. I think that means I'll pass on it. If anybody KNOWS, please tell me.
The application: I'm finishing up a 427cid engine using a Dart block. It has the 2-piece block/crank. I need a flywheel that will work with that crank, and also work with the 1990 Corvette clutch slave cylinder. I understand that requires a flywheel that's ~0.1" less thick than "normal". :skep: I have not yet done any research of calling and talking to tech folks at Centerforce or Hayes, etc but saw this ebay auction and am somewhat hopeful it would work.
I had to pull the dictionary down to look up esoteric. You're right, it is. I emailed the seller with the question but you know how that goes sometimes. If he gives me a link to a website page at Hayes that says it'll work OK otherwise I probably won't take his word. He probably doesn't know anyway. He probably won't even understand the question. :troll :banghead: :skep:
