Anyone ever take it out without removing the water pump? Last time I did it, I did remove the water pump.
If you did remove it, which way did you pull it out? Did you jack engine up after loosening engine mounts? Take Tensioner pulley out?

I don't see a benefit to taking the balancer off without removing the water pump, regardless of if you could. Assuming you got it off, you'd just be stuck with the balancer between the steering rack and the hub, with no way to remove the balancer from the car to access anything.
It would be off, but you wouldn't be able to utilize the fact that the balancer was off for literally anything.
You have to take the water pump off to get the balancer out. Frankly, I think you have to take the opti out to get the balancer out. Been a little while since I did all that though.
All said, I don't think an under drive pulley like that will gain you enough to make it worthwhile. Your car so your choice, but you're talking a like 1-4 HP gain, with a bunch of downsides coming with it. Bet it's a lot prettier than the OEM HB though!
