Should work and I think you need to jump across the terminals in the connector to keep the light off....
You should try to keep that light functional in my 2 bit opinion.
If you have to, maybe buy a crappy used master off of eBay or something and rob the switch from it.
If there's something wrong with your brakes you want to know about it before they fail. Well..assuming you value your life and the lives of others on the road should the brakes fail absent the brake light warning function.
Don't monkey around with the braking system and brake system warning devices. It's just not worth it.

Yes, you can block it. The tricky bit is you need one of these, a 12mm x 1.0 thread bolt, now you would think that it wouldn't be that hard to find one but it wasn't easy.
The switch is like a toggle between the front and rear lines, it will simply rock if one side puts out significantly more pressure than the other, activating the brake warning light.
Putting a block off bolt in does not activate the warning light.

It’s a dry port and a simple switch. Can you not add some silicone to the threads to keep it in position ?
