Power Antenna Question.....continued
Ok, I've got my power antenna apart, but when I went to the GM dealer to get the ribbon, they said that they only sell the whole setup for $161. I even had him check a '95 and a '91 setup and he said that those are all one piece too. I'm not going to spend that much, I'd rather have the antenna stay up. Where did everyone else get their ribbons from????

Have you checked EBAY. I see them out there sometimes.
On the GM Parts, did you check with Jeff Koop ???? Probably get you a much better deal than the local dealers.
I've seen other sources on this forum so maybe others who have experienced this problem will chime in shortly.

Ok, so I guess you guys are getting this stuff from GM dealers.......then how about the part number that I can give to my GM guy so he knows what I need. Yes I do understand the ribbon and antenna are one piece, but I need something for this GM guy to understand, If I tell him to get a certain part number he's been trained by the best to do that.

OK, all I need it the mast/ribbon I do not need the whole motor assembly. I'm looking for this part number. It should be only a $20 part so getting it from Jeff wouldn't be worth it to pay for shipping and then having to wait days for it. I know people have done this before, I know someone's got a part number for it.

Good luck. I've had my antenna sticking a quarter of the way up for over nine years. I've been reluctant to replace it with another GM antenna since it seems the durability factor is low.

Just purchased one on ebay from the same guy. Hopefully, it will solve my half stuck antenna on my 93.

Don't know if you are still looking for the ribbon, but I bought mine at ZIP from the forum restoration shop. My Vette is an 88. Newer models may be a little different.
