383 heads
Im thinking about putting together a 383 and im wondering about the best head combination for the motor. Just looking for some input on what various forum members are running and how they like them.

Re: 383 heads (Mav85vette)
I hear CNC Cylinder heads are very well made (like an industry secret or something....), but aside from AFRs, Trickflows seem to be popular as well!
I suppose all you can do is go to each website, read the fine print & flow data, and see what you can afford.

I'm using the edelbrock performer rpm series and am very happy with the quality of the head and all of its performance characteristics. They were inexpensive, all accessories fit without modifications and produced good horsepower/torque numbers. 1984 z-51 with 385. lots of choices out there though.
