I just talked to the machine shop that was doing the coolant system pressure test on the heads and both passed fine. I was mainly concerned with just the repaired one.
They're pressure washing them now and I'm picking them up at 3:30. Too bad its too damn cold to do anything. Its 16* outside right now and the forecast doesn't even get above 40 until another week or so.
*edit*
Ok I picked them up. The bill was $130 for pressure testing and pressure washing. $40/head to pressure check and $20/head for a pressure wash.
Just a few random pics since I am bored...
A picture of how my valve seats are modified to fit the larger springs.
Two of my intake ports for the heck of it. It isn't easy to see the porting.
I want to say November 10th or around there. I still have to replace one connecting rod, piston, bearing, and set of rings before I can even start bolting it together.
I took the car cover off the other day just to look at the damn thing and see if there was any ice damage anywhere as it was incased in a good 3/4" of ice for a while. Its still nice and clean from when I put it under.
He happened to his motor  Just messing scorp......
16* is way to cold to do anything..... And I recall you having you wooden ramps outside and all that.... Bet you cant wait for some warm weather to show the Engine God who gets the last word
Scorp, the heads look good. The ports look just like mine did when the port job was done. The Combustion chamber looks more polished on yours though. Mine were finished with an almost crinkle finish, you can see it in my sig. Whats the difference, and which one is supposed to be better?
Man, you have been parked a long time.....I would be Jonesing big time!!!
I hate to mention it, but the wife and I played hookie from work on Monday, took the top off the car, and WENT TO THE BEACH!!! It was a great day, topless chicks, nice warm sunshine, a cool breeze.
Did you say 16*??? Ooowwwwwccchhhhh!!!
Send me some pics of your Nitro setup when you get a chance.

The really shiney one is the one my dad had to grind the weld into shape, so its really really polished. The other ones aren't as smooth. I honestly don't know what is better as there are different viewpoints on the issue. :)

That was this afternoon, its 4* now.

I'll have to dig them up, they're on my desktop who's monitor is busted. It isn't the prettiest yet. :)
Everything looks good, and appears to be coming along just fine.
You're dealing with the cold temps, and we got about another 10 inches of snow coming our way tonight. Damn, that means we here in Maryland will be well over 50 inches of snow for the year, since Thanksgiving.
I'm going to have to learn how to shift, all over again.
