Default removing cats

hey i'm wanting to remove the cats from my 95 vette. are the o2 sensors before or after the cats and will this set off a code and light on my dash warning system? if it does, is there anyway i can bypass it? ie a plug kit or do a little rewiring? i would also like to remove all the smog junk from my car. can i just unbolt it and tie the wiring up out of the way? or will more lights go off? again, is there anyway i can fix this if it does happen? i dont need to worry about emissions in sc! please help me with your expertise guys. :flag

You need the front O2 sensors, but if you're removing the cats you can get rid of the rears. However, you will either need to have your computer reprogrammed so it doesn't throw a code or go buy some O2 simulators...I think Summit has them.

Take a look to see if you have a flat 4-pin connector on the O2 sensors, if you do there are lots of places to get them, if not give Trevor a call at Exoric Muscle, he should know where to find some and point you in the right direction. His number is 480 967 4222

well i got my ripper shifter today and with it came a new jegs catalogue. it has some of these cat simulators in it, but again, none for my car. so can i get some for any 5.7 liter engine? will that work? havent looked at the actual harness yet, but i will this weekend. can someone please post a link where i can find them for my car. and just so i have this straight, there are 2 sets, one before the cats and one after. leave the ones before as is and plug simulators into the ones after the cats. right? what about when i get headers? do i still drill and tap the front o2 sensors into the exhaust? i think so but wanna make sure.

Breathless Performance.... they make a pulley so you rip the air pump out completely. Then just get rid of all that stuff and get your chip reprogrammed...

If you want to work on your car, you need a Helm Manual before you screw something up.
