Replacing my Corsa resonator, due to a leaking weld, while it is off thinking about putting the upgraded beam plates on. Looking for comments from anyone who has installed the beam plate upgrade. All comments welcome, but is it difficult to install, how long to install, price, install tips.
And what happened to the search feature on the forum?
I know there were some threads on the beam plate upgrade while ago.
I believe that they work, especially high horsepower applications. Not hard to put on, you just have to get the wrench on the nuts on top of the C-beam, and that isn't too difficult. ZR51 Performance in Cave Creek, AZ sells them. I think their website is http://www.zfdoc.com
Just had my C beam loose while changing the D36 gears. Getting everything back together was a PITA and I believe that the beam plates would have made a huge difference in ease of installation, etc. Wish I had them now ... but not sure if I will go back & do that particular mod on my '94 A4.
But .... I just picked up a 90 ZR-1 and I'm pretty sure that I will be adding beam plates on the ZR because of the additional power & torque. They look like an extremely useful mod.
