1990 rims with ltpws
:banghead: I have stock rims ,one is bent. I would like to replace it with an unbent one. I have the low tire pressure warning system. Can I switch it over to a new stock rim? and how? Can I use the system on other than stock rims if I wanted to change all 4?!
the ltpws is a sensor mounted to the wheel using a band clamp. I don't see any problems moving them to another set of 90 corvette wheels. I don't see a problem moving them to any other 17" wheel, but I've never done it before.

Definitely no problems with swapping the sensor over to another 90 rim. After the tire is removed, all you will need is a screwdriver to loosen the clamp.
The original placement of the sensor is 180 degrees from the tire valve. Make sure the wheel place that changes over the tires is well aware of this so they don't stick a wheel brace through the sensor while mounting/demounting the tires. Replacement sensors are not cheap.
As far as I can imagine, the original sensors should work on aftermarket rims, provided the inside of the rim allows a place for them to be comfortably mounted.
