Default adjustable FPR

i bought a new Jet regulator, from summit, installed it on my '85 and had a real biatch of a time trying to make it work, in fact i got so frustrated that i removed it and replaced it with the stock one again.

then I'm looking through a catalogue the other day and i notived that the regulator kit has a small disk in it , which looks to be about the size of a quarter.( and yes canadian quarters are physically the same size as american ones :jester )

where does this disk go and will not installing it effect the performance of the regulator? My kit did not include one, i believe that it should have, and i will be phoning summit this morning.

thanks in advance

Is the disk as small as the inside of a toonie or as big as a loonie?

That disc is the contact point for the screw that adjust the the pressure. With out it you will puncture the diaphram. I would have gone with the Holley cause you get the whole thing listed in the picture down below. And you just have to use your fingers to adjust the fuel pressure.

I just installed the TPIS adjustable unit. The disc goes in the cap, between the screw and diaphram. If you have a screw adjustment on top, you may need the disc. :seeya

While you still have the stock FPR installed, put a fuel pressure gauge on the Schraeder valve and measure the pressure at idle with the vacuum line disconnected and plugged.

Then, after the AFPR is installed, set fuel pressure to the stock value as a starting point.

Ah yes, atotalnincimpoop, my Canadian friend, I also have a rail mounted pressure gauge. Only the one I got from Jeg's (which is an accell) is leaking above the fitting. What make of gauge do you have? I think I have a bad part. :mad
