I give up, what am I missing on installing a lower radiator hose on an 89 coupe ? Changed hoses on my 89 and my 91 Caprice. Caprice lower hose went in fine in a couple of minutes. Vette hose so far defies installation at the engine end. Can't seem to get enough leverage to slip it in place.

Re: Radiator Hose (Grouchy67)
 Maybe this will help
First, be sure you have the right hose. There is a differnce between Z51/52 hoses to account for the aditional front cross member
Second, I find it is a little extra work, but a great time and patience saver to remove the serpentine belt and the belt tensioner. If you do this you have great acces to the hose at the water pump end.
Third, coat the inside of the hose and the pipe/outlet you are trying to go over with liquid soap, but you probably already knew that :D
Tried all you mentioned. Hose is SUPPOSED to be the right one but looks a little on the "almost" side. Have to try another hose since this is a Z51 and the clerk may have pulled one that is close but no cigar. The bend does not look quite right but I chalked that up to new vs old hose. Even with the belt off there is still not a lot of room with almost all access angles blocked with steel. Thanks for the help.
