Vehicle Anti-Theft System. Wait about 5-10 minutes then try it again, if it still doesn't work try using your spare key. Sometimes the pellet in your key gets dirty or worn down.

When mine did the exact same thing you are talking about, it was my clutch switch. Someone on the forum told me to try the clutch switch, so I ordered one because they were cheap over the internet. Well, the switch was cheap, but it was a lot of work to get to it. Replaced the switch; same problem. Took it to the dealership; found out I had been sold a bad switch. The service manager told me to just cut the wires and tie them together instead of going through the trouble to replace the switch. Did that and everything worked fine. Wish I had done that from the beginning instead of going through all the trouble to replace the switch. As a matter of fact, a forum member had already said bypass the switch, but because of the price, I bought a new one.
