Default Siamese porting

I have a SR base and want to Siamese port it. Can I do this myself or should I send it out; if I can how do I do this? :D

Why would you ruin a perfectly good SR base?

Yeah, I dunno how effective siamesing the SR base will be. Im sure there will be an RPM increase, but I dunno if the trade-offs are what you'll be looking for.

Are you confused with people doing that to the TPI setup instead???

I agree; the reason we do it on stock base is to reduce the effective runner length.

If you're running a stock base with a SR you could try it.

I was going to keep the stock runners and plenum. But mabey it's better to leave it alone or just port it a little.

Oops, sorry, I misunderstood; so you have the BM (SR) base with stock runners and plenum.

In that case I would suggest you add a set of AS&M runners or siamese the stock base about 2" deep and sell the SR base as it doesn't work well with stock runners and is expensive to experiment with the siamese trick.

In either case you may not notice much gain unless you have other mods.
