Default PASSIVE KEYLESS ENTRY QUESTION

I heard it came standard on 93 and newer, I have a 92 and would love to retro fit this option. It was an option for 92 so it has to just be a matter of finding the hardware and plugging it into the harness.Does anyone have any knowledge on this? :steering:

I added this to my 92 with a kit from corvette central. It was 269.00 plus shipping, ecklers has it also but it is 30.00 more the last I checked. What I liked was no cutting and splicing, you just unplug existing harness and add the new between. Everything installs on passenger side of car the door has to be taken apart also you have to fish a wire between cabin and door (piano wire supplied) It took about a day to install, alarm works the same as before it also opens rear hatch (coupe). It is part #284112 in their catalog hope this helps.

Is the system from corvette central "Passive" where you just walk up and it unlocks your car or do you have to press the button? :seeya
