does anyone know mich about the afr heads? What kind of hp increase would be achieved in a lt1 motor i have a free flowing exhaust already and will use a 52 mm throttle body unless i should go with a 58mm? with these heads what size injectors should be used? any suggestions on a cam? should i have a chip burnt? i would like the operating range of the cam come in some where between 1500 to 2000 rpm and level off around 5500 to 6,000. What size combustion chamber should i order these heads in it looks as if they have 56cc to 74cc combustion chamber. which choice would be better of the 2 runner volumes 180cc or 190cc? I will probably introduce nitrous at some point somewhere arond 150 horse shot. Any ideas and recomendations will be apreciated.... :seeya

Cam-LT4 Hotcam kit, comes with 1.6rr and the cam is what most LT guys use.

You dont need the AFRs until you do something like a 396+, the LT1 heads are pretty damn good already, all you would want to do is port them.

You dont need a 52mm TB until you go with a bigger engine, like 383+, one member even dynoed a LOSS with a 52 on a 350, with an LT1 w/ hotcam.

If you change the cam, you need to have the chip reprogrammed for it.

interesting, very interesting, so it sounds as if I would lose HP from building an lt1 and or very little work could be done to an lt1 motor.... any engine builders out there??? :reddevil
