Hung out with Tim a little bit yesterday while he wrenched on the new motor for his beater (his Vette is getting painted as we speak  )
Here are a couple pics:
He should be well on his way to getting the thing buttoned up and back on the road

Hey Tim,
Thanks for stopping buy and helping out yesterday! Yep, for like 2 hours after you left, Alecks and & I COULD NOT get that damn motor to seat in there correctly, so then we called it quits for the night. Then today, we got out there, I changed a motor mount around, and also replace the transmission mount (I CAN'T believe how DISINTERGRATED it was!), then we just jimmy'd in it there, and then BAM! It plopped into place, the brackets lined up AND the dowel pins popped in their spots! So then we buttoned everything up.

Everything's done now, except putting the power steering pump back on, and (this is funny) the piece the oil filter screws on to, isn't there...I dunno if those are supposed to COME welded onto the block, or I can go get that put on...but I'll find out in the morning, then off to the smog shop, then back home to unbolt the exhaust and make it true duals.
GDP,
That's a 355cid with stock internals/heads, Edelbrock Performer RPM Intake, Holley 650cfm 4bbl Carb, Heddman 1 5/8 Longtubes. It should make right around 250rwhp/300rwtq. :D
