High beam indicator and Silverstars

High beam indicator and Silverstars
I installed a pair of the Sylvania Silverstars Friday and ever since when I turn the high beam's off, the high beam indicator stays on. I have to turn off the headlamps, and then turn them back on before the indicator goes off. The lights function properly, it's just the high beam indicator doesn't go out when switching back to low beams. :crazy:
Anyone have any ideas?

You have a poor ground connection at the headlight socket. Clean the socket and the pins on the headlamp. Also, check for good tension on the socket so it firmly makes connection to the headlamp. Check for low resistance of the ground wire from the headlamp socket to ground.

jfb: thanks, I'll check the grounds tonight. I'm assuming I want zero resistance between the socket and ground?
92: They're great. Not only is there more light, but it's more widely dispersed than the halogens I had installed. $24.95 per lamp assembly at my local Schmucks.
