Strongest 4 speed auto trans?
Lately my stock 700r4 has been slipping lately, so soon I am going to just swap out the whole trans. I am going to put in a new stall converter too, most likely a stock GM 2000 converter. I was looking at pro built 700r4s? What about the 4l80e and 4l60e trans? What are the differences? Someone else said that you could get a th400 and put an overdrive on it? How are installing these trans's? and hooking it up to the drivetrain? Eventually I am going to build my motor up and run an insane amount of power (hopefully) so what rear end woud hold up? I want a solid axle, because I doubt it a Dana 44 would hold up past the 11's. How hard is it to do a custom 9" rear? I would switch to coilovers, would that make it any easier? All of you guys that have big cubed forced inducted motors, what are you using? Thanks for the help.
