I have very little and I mean little heat and have the control set on 90* but no heat, even on auto. I have a '94 coupe and bought it in Jan. Never tried it till now....still have to get tags yet 'cause the wheather's been so bad I've been putting it off but I'm ready now. Is this all electronic? No vacuum lines? The heater hoses are hot going in and out of the heater core. All the rest of the controls work. Diaphrams for the flappers on these?
Needless to say there have been numerous heat problems on the forum this winter. I encourage you to use the search feature and view all of the postings.
Check your coolant level. Back flush your heater core. Heater controls. All associated with heater problems.
Coolant flows through the core continuously. The heat is controlled by doors that route the warm air through the vents.
Personally, I would check the heater hoses first. Are they both hot ??? If not, you may have a clogged heater core. If they are, it is probably hte heat distribution system.
