Default Will holes in my exhaust effect performace?

I have some rusted holes(right on the bends) in my rear Y-pipes, When I get new Y-pipes will I notice any performance difference?
Thanks, Rick

technically, your rusty holes are allowing better flow. you probably won't notice much difference. the sound will be quiter though. the whole left side came off on my rear y-pipe from rust, that's when i decided just to get the true dual exhaust kit. that's how you'll notice a difference.

I've been thinking of the true dual, or a front Y with no pre-cats and maybe not cat(just mufflers in the back), but I keep hearing about the the loss of torque due to lack of back pressure. My car is pretty much stock too.Whataya think?

yeah, that's somewhat true, but you need to compensate and bring more air back in. i'm sure you've heard all of the basics: cut open your air filter lid, put in a k&n air filter, take your screens off of your MAF, and you might as well clean out the throttle with some air intake cleaner. i just did mine and it was pretty dirty. you can also connect the coolant lines that run in and out of the thottle body (coolant bypass, only do this if you don't drive the car when it's really really cold). these are all free (except the air filter) and will help a little. if you do change the exhaust, i would get a new ecm chip also. actually, i just noticed that you have the open lid and filter.

Probably not. But sounds like a good excuse to upgrade!

I just replaced my rear Y pipe when I saw my left muffler hanging as the rust completely broke of at the bend. I had been driving with small rust holes for a while and since I replaced the pipe the car sounds so much better. A low equal tone coming out of both sides way better than before.
