Find the horn relay, measure volts on the pink wire (from my 87 schematic), it must have 12v. Ground the black wire which turns on the horn relay and supplies 12v to the green wire which goes to the horns and they should sound. You should hear the relay click when grounding the black wire and there must be 12v on the green wire. If relay works and 12v is on the green wire, check for 12v on the blk/lt grn wire on each horn when the horn relay is activated. Check for low resistance on the black wire of each horn to ground (less then 0.5 ohms) to confirm a good ground. There are 2 black wires on the horn relay, one goes to the horn button in the steering wheel and the other goes to the theft deterrent module. You can test each horn by jumping 12v to the two wires going to each horn.

My horn is also going south, not dead yet but weak - like a Corolla horn. It's a 96 lt4.
Can you help me trouble shoot it with colors of wires & volts.
