Default Flat Panel Replacement for the Breadbox

A while back, I replaced the breadbox in my 89 with a flat panel type from Ecklers. I didn't like the huge flat area, so I bought a Corvette emblem--the one that goes on the tail piece--painted it with flexible bumper black paint (the emblem itself is some sort of thick vinyl), and put it on.

Now that I finally borrowed a digital camera, I'm trying to post the image here, but I don't see any way to upload it. Clicking the Help button simply gives me an error message.

How do I upload the image?

Thanks in advance.

I think you have to have it on a server. I agree with you the "help" error thing is really weak :banghead: .

You will need a "host" to upload any pictures you might have. At one time Forum members could get home page space for just that purpose but because of space and bandwidth issues that is no longer the case.

Check your ISP (internet provider) and see if you have "free" webspace for a home page. Many provide that as part of the package. If so, you can use that space for picture storage even if you don't set up a homepage. You will need to find out how to upload your files, etc. You will probably need some software to help you with that. Available for free is some FTP software that can usually work for this sort of thing. If you have FrontPage or Dreamweaver you have this ability built in.

If you don't have "free space" available from your ISP run a web search for free picture hosting. You can probably find something to meet your needs there.

Also, check the help section in this forum. I'm sure this topic has been discussed with some very good suggestions.

To see how this works right click on my sig pictures and then click properties. You will see the URL address. That's where the pics are stored. Once stored you can insert that address in your sig or in the body of any of your postings and you will have the pics displayed.

Good luck.

And not to hijack your thread but ...... Hello Ray ~ long time, no see.

I just checked your profile. Host it on your homepage, then you can put it in alink in the post, or put it in your signature in "My Profile"
