Before I shell out 1200 do get my seats redone in new black leather, I was wondering if anyone installed or had the "driver" leather seats found in all the corvette mags. They sound good, but I just want to make sure they don't have any crappy looking streaks or anything in them. Any pics would be great too if you got em (of when you first got the seats)
Re: Black driver leather seats, anyone? (vettedude85)
I bought the driver leather seats ( no perferations) and they look great. Cost around $900.
I'll get some pics later.
The complaint I have is the foam is stiff. My old cloth seats were very soft and I sat low in the car. These new ones, you kinda sit on top...
Maybe they do it to keep the leather from stretching or tearing.
I was thinking of having the old passenger lower foam (good condition) recovered with the new leather, and put that in the drivers side.
Otherwise, if I don't do anything, I would still be very happy with my new seats.
