What is the best gear ratio setup to get better accelaration, but not be buzzing
the engine on the highway? I have a '93 with auto. trans. Thanks!

in my opinion for an auto... stock is best or maybe 3.54s. Although i had a 4.09 in my six speed.. i really prefer a long steady pull on the freeway than annoying quick shifts.
I put 3.45's in, those are probably the best all around ratio for dual purpose.
I improved my 60' time and et at the track, yet still retain good mpg on the road(just don't ask me anything specific about rpm or mpg, because I didn't jot any notes down.)
Your stock ratio is 2.59(RPO GM1) unless you have RPO G92 which is the performance axle,3.07 gears which is RPO G44.
:iagree:
I recently changed my 2.59 gears to 3.31 gears and I heartily recommend this ratio. I don't race but I enjoy good acceleration and still be able to have a nice RPM range for interstate cruising speeds. For me the 3.31 works well. I think 3.54 might be a little too much but if I had changed from the D36 to the D44 I would probably go with the 3.45. Otherwise, the 3.07.
It's all about what you are going to do with the car...I run my 93 at the drag strip every month so I have 3:73's...I also cruise on the hwy just fine at 80 mph and it's my daily driver...good luck
