How do I get the front and rear speakers out of the car? My blose amps have had it, they are to the point of just crackling all the time. I need to remove the speaker enclosures, amps and speakers. Do they just come out as a whole assembly?
I am sending it all off for repair, thanks for your help
Its just one big enclosure with a plug on it.The fronts are held in by 4 bolts. The rears, enclosure is two peices, you unbolt the top.The amps are inside the enclosure. :seeya
Can you remove the rear speaker enclosure/amp/speaker as one assembly? Or is that not worth the trouble, since I will probably just be sending the amp and speaker.
The rear is a snap, you remove the grills then its like 4 bolts that hold the top of the enclosure to the bottom. The speakers and amp is bolted to the top.Diconnect one plug and you can take it out.
Both front and rear can be removed as a unit. The fronts are a pain because you have to basically take the door apart to get them out. The rears as stated above, are simple - 4 bolts, pull carpet out of the way and they are out.
Whats a blose amp???
Is that something new that I've missed.....
thanks
tony

It is what we call the now-very-out-of-date Bose system that came with the car. Usually one of the first mods is to yank all that and put in new speakers, wires, & CD player. Pop over the the Audio section. Lots of great help there. They got me sounding excellent in short order! :yesnod:  :yesnod:
